I thought I had packed up my things in my duffle bag, and I was pleased with my progress. Then I realized I needed to pack up my handlebar bag, bike tools and helmet. That all takes space! So, out came a pannier and in went items that will be carried on, making space for my checked duffle bag to be repacked.

What else am I bringing?

I'm excited to have some items that will aid in comfort and convenience.
  • Goal Zero Solar Panel and Recharger; I can charge technology through the solar panel or the battery recharger, without relying on being near an outlet or USB port.
  • DeLorme inReach two-way sattelite text messaging, tracking and SOS device
  • Gerber knife; I will become the queen of whittling.
  • Swiss Army multitool; I am so happy to have this!!
  • L.L.Bean headlamp; it gets dark at night!
  • bicycle multitool, tire levers, tire pump, chain tool, patch kit, tubes
  • maps; where am I going?!
  • books, mini coloring book, colored pencils, journal, pen, addresses, stamps
  • toiletries: toothbrush/paste, contact lenses/cleaner, Dr. Bronner's soap (for body, hair & dishes), first aid supplies & medications, Diva Cup, Go-Girl, sunscreen, bugspray, tick key, razor deodorant is not making the cut! I figured I'm going to sweat and smell, so I'm embracing it. Yep, you heard right.
